The Plaza

The Sonoma Plaza is truly the town center and family friendly. During the summer local families enjoy picnics under the shade trees as well as the frequent events and festivals on the weekends featuring children's activities..

Visiting the ducks at the Plaza Duck Pond is one of the favorite things for kids to do in the Plaza. Shaded benches are available to watch the friendly ducks paddle in and out of the reeds or come in close for a treat.

You will find the ducks all around the pond or even cuddled up sleeping on the lawn.

See if you can spot Bernard, a cute white duck with tufts of feathers on his head that resemble a hat. We believe you may even find a sibling to Bernard.
The Plaza is also home to two play areas designed for different ages. The one below is for younger children and also has low swings available. The one to your right is designed for the older set. Both play areas are set in sand.

There are many restaurants around the Plaza offering take out picnic food to eat while you enjoy the jewel of Sonoma parks.
