Wine Buying Values

You will almost always get a great deal by purchasing wine by the standard twelve bottle case. Many Sonoma wineries offer case discounts and will handle the shipping for you. Wine shipping laws are always undergoing changes so check with the winery staff about direct shipping to your desired destination.

Find many wines on sale in the fall during harvest celebrations and especially during the winter months. Another great reason to visit Sonoma Valley in the winter.

Shipping tip!
The Cellar Door multi-winery tasting room located on the grounds of the Lodge at Sonoma offers shipping assistance for any wines you purchase not only at their tasting room but also when you are out and about collecting your favorites in the valley. Just bring your wines to the Cellar Door and they will arrange for the packing and shipping. Pricing varies according to the number of bottles and the destination state.

They also are now carrying a unique product perfect for carrying wine in luggage. Very handy to have when bringing a special bottle of Sonoma wine home with you.

Lodging Values

Making reservations for a mid-week stay will often save you more as weekend rates are higher. If you are looking for the very best possible rates, come and enjoy the Sonoma Valley from November through March when special low season rates are available.

November offers gorgeous vistas of fall color in the vineyards and late January / early February is a great time to see the valley awash in blooming mustard between the vines.
