Our
winter rainy season here in Sonoma is known to end early some years and linger through May in others. If you visit at this time of year expect to enjoy mild sunny temperatures mixed
with occasional rains and microclimate fog.
Mustard in the Vineyards
Early spring is a time of unmatched beauty in the California Wine Country as the
fruit trees burst open and the wild yellow mustard fills the vineyards between
the rows of still dormant grape vines. Below are photos of our local landscape
at the southern entrance to Sonoma Valley.
What's in
Bloom
Pink and white plum trees, daffodils, quince, and wildflowers are popping open
with an array of color. Calla lily blooms and the blues of Ceanothus are opening
as the yellow mustard opens fully. Simply heavenly!
