From the parking lot, head North on Airport Boulevard by turning left. Turn right onto Earhart Drive. Continue straight onward, then as the road bends to the right, follow it to Airport Exit. In about 1/3 of a mile, the road will bend to the left. Follow it onto Airport Boulevard.

Take the Interstate Highway 5 North on ramp and merge onto the highway. Continue for nearly 8 miles, then, from I-5, take the Main Street exit towards Highway 113 South toward the town of Woodland. Turn left off the on ramp onto East Main Street. Look for the Highway 113 signs. In about half a mile, turn left to take the Highway 113 South on ramp towards the city of Davis. In another half mile, merge onto the Highway 113 South and continue for about 10 miles.

Take the Interstate Highway 80 West exit toward San Francisco and continue for about 30 miles. You'll pass the old Nut Tree, Travis Air Force Base, and the Solano county mall. In Fairfield, soon after passing the Scandia Family Fun center on the left, take the Highway 12 exit toward Napa/Sonoma. This is the second Highway 12 exit. Be sure and take the one for Napa and Sonoma.

For the next 15 miles, this part of Highway 12, also called Jameson Canyon Road, is a bit windy, so use extra care until it straightens out and pours into the Napa Valley. After the stoplight at North Kelly Road, continue straight on to the next set of stoplights at the "T" intersection of Highway 12 and Highway 29. Turn right.

Keep in the left-hand lanes and avoid the right-hand lane to Lake Berryessa. Keep on Highway 12/29 toward Napa and Sonoma. On the right is a larger-than-life bronze statue of a farmer turning an old-fashioned wine press. Then you'll cross a high arching bridge over the Napa River.

In about two miles, move to the left-hand lane. At the stoplight, turn left to continue on Highway 12 to Sonoma. If you miss the light, you'll continue on Highway 29 to Napa and you'll have to take the Imola exit to turn back.

It's only another 10 miles to the Sonoma city limits. Follow Highway 12 through the rolling hills and vineyards. Just for your information, Highways 12 and 121 overlap in this section of highway.

At the first set of stoplights, make a slight right and continue for another 4 miles. This is Napa Road. At the first stop sign is a country deli on the corner, then you'll pass one more stop sign before you get to the traffic light and the intersection of Napa Road and Highway 12. Turn right.

This section of Highway 12 is called Broadway by Sonoma locals. About a half-mile after the 30 M.P.H. turn, you'll pass a plant nursery on the left, then in the next mile, a set of stop lights and a palm-tree studded hotel. Further on is Sonoma Valley High School on the right. The historic Sonoma Plaza is just four blocks ahead at the T-intersection and the end of Broadway.
